About me
Alexis (Simms) Miller (she/her) is a mother, activist, listener, educator, and French toast connoisseur. She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Family Resource Center for Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) in Virginia, where she is recognized for her award-winning work in advancing family and community engagement. Known for her passion and skill in facilitation, Alexis creates inclusive spaces that center families’ voices and strengthen school-community partnerships.
Her work includes community-based program design, therapeutic group facilitation, and strategic resource navigation, all rooted in equity and access. Alexis holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work and is currently pursuing her PhD, with a focus on perinatal mental wellness. Over the past decade, she has driven meaningful, generational change for families across the lifespan, blending professional expertise with a deep commitment to intentional engagement and holistic family support.
